Sharp distinction between tactical de-escalation and strategic normalization, which most coverage glosses over. The framing of these talks as an Abraham Accords sequel feels premature when neither side can even agree on basic withdrawal timelines, much less deeper political legitimacy. I've seen this pattern in regional diplomacy before where confidence-building mesures become permanent holding patterns rather than stepping stones becuase the underlying grievances never actually get addressed.
